Come Down with Me

Ok, so I did this painting a while ago, and it was a biggie. It was always meant to be a biggie, it was another one of those paintings where I wanted to just bring together lots of ideas I had and make it my new 'best painting ever'. And most of all, I wanted it to be completely and utterly mad.
You can ask me what it's about, or you can decide what you think, whichevers more fun for you.

Into the Universe

Ok, so this was a painting I did what expresses my feelings and whatnot. It was done in poster paint and acrylics, with some spray paint and comic books too, cos these are the materials required for a robot takeover painting these days

"Vital Component"

"Sea You On The Other Side"

So if you follow me on tumblr (http://therobottakeover.tumblr.com/), you'll know I went through this whole painting step by step to show how I do a layered picture like this. It's the biggest robot I've ever done, and it's loosely based on the sea and the beach. It's the biggest robot I've ever done, and it marks four years of The Robot Takeover, so cheers to everyone who's helped out this gratuitously self-indulgent project over the years

“Attack on Memory”

So this is my painting I’ve been keeping under wraps for a while. It was an old canvas I was experimenting with, without any real aim or purpose. Then, when I was out walking listening to 'Attack on Memory' by Cloud Nothings I suddenly knew exactly what it had to look like. This is how every good Robot Takeover picture happens, ideas come to me basically fully formed, mostly when I'm listening to music. The tricky bit is transferring what I see in my minds eye onto canvas.
